There are district level jewellers associations which have been sorting out issues within their specified districts but it was felt that a unified federation can help resolve issues of the entire state and as a collective force, it will have more power and voice.

The Karnataka Jewellers Federation (KJF), a trade body visited Delhi and handed over a cheque of Rs 12 lakh towards the Prime Minister National Relief Fund for Nepal earthquake victims to Ananth Kumar, Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers and Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister for Law and Justice at Parliament House, New Delhi. The as soc i at i on members also handed over a memorandum to Mallikarjun Kharge, leader of opposition in Lok Sabha at Karnataka Bhawan.The KJF delegation included Sumesh Wadhera, director and chairperson advisory board and MD, AOJ Media Pvt Ltd; Shrikanth Kari, treasurer; B Ramachary, general secretary N S Rajashekar, joint secretary; O V Diwakar, joint secretary, Raghavendra Mailapur, vice president, KJF, among others.
